Lets Walk Great-One

Sweet fragrance of lilac wafts through the sun warmed air Daffodils beautify as if painters brush has put them there Slipping on the walking shoes lain unused for some time An afternoon stroll holding onto that little hand in mine Excitement lighting his little face while jumping all around Come great grandma I have to show you what it is I've found Hand in hand we set out for new adventure on our little walk Oh My! I can't believe how much this little guy can talk Oh a beautiful rock don't you think look it has streaks of blue I'll keep it in my pocket a treasure just for you A dog barking, bouncing against the fence his eyes wild He says don't worry he won't hurt you with the wisdom of a child Oh can we please go swing at the park for just a minute or two I happily agree cause this old gal needs to sit to re-tie her shoe As we make our way home again he is planning our next jaunt I ask myself what more could any Great Grandma want? Note Great one is a Family joke. His grandma is only 34 but loves being called grandma so joking I said I'll be just be great one and it stuck
