It's My Birthday
For your birthday I pondered what to do,
What sort of gift would be perfect for you?
Should I send you a clown to make you smile,
Doing silly tricks and cart wheels of every style?
Should I spend hours baking you a birthday cake?
Oh No! That might just give you a tummy ache.
I thought about dance lessons for the rumba, cha cha,
Slow drag and such...
Would the next gift on my list cost too much?
Perhaps take you on a trip around the world
With all expenses paid...
But they probably wouldn't accept monopoly money
And I put that thought right out of my head.
So dear, forget all those things listed above,
I send instead invisible roses and oceans of love.
