It Is Not Preposterous!

It is not preposterous to think people are motivated by sin, A taste of the flesh will make folks do wrong, Just so they can toot their own horns, It is not preposterous to assume, that for a piece of a human being, pests would stoop very low to stealing a family's heirloom, It is not preposterous to know, we are living in a world that is ignorant and shallow, the hollowness that exists in human kind, will be the trait that leaves the despicable behind.

Boy, do I hear you, Margaret! When my father died last year, thieves ransacked his house and stole precious family heirlooms. This type of behavior just doesn't make sense to me, but it happens a lot. Very insightful poem that goes to my favorites for the special meaning it has to me. Love, Carolyn
