It Could Happen To You
Honor and integrity
Used to come so easily
In a world that used to care
Knowing how to love and share
Neighbors helping all the time
Giving someone their last dime
Or the shirt right off their back
Picking up a neighbors slack
When they struggle to survive
As a storm passed through their lives
Now a days you will just see
People being so stingy
With their time and charity
Never knowing it might be
Them someday who might need help
When life tightens up their belts
Looking up with no one there
Because once they didn't care
As others struggled to provide
For the loved ones in their lives
So the next time you pass by
A stranger with tears in sad eyes
Take a moment-- be a friend
Because in the very end
You might be just as down
Remember:
What goes around comes around
