I'm loving this Naani form, it affords the poet greater freedom due to its fluidity. It's like a concise free verse(okay, I love free verse), and I believe free verse lovers would more likely gravitate towards the Naani. Nice Naani Cynthia - very well written.

Thanks again Vicky, it is easy as long as you have a central theme in mind. I am excited to read your Naani poems soon.

You captured the Naani form very well. The subject is captured within the few lines of the poetry form. Well penned.

Lovely poem - what is the naani? Is it native to the Philippines?

Hello Joann, Thank you for the comment - the Naani is an Indian Telugu poem that has 4 lines and 20-25 syllables. It is about any topic, but mostly about life and human relations. The syllables are spread in 4 lines and there is no specific number of syllables per line - just that it must total 20-25. It it concise like the Haiku or the Epigram. Hope you can try it. Sincerely, Cynthia
