I Give You-Spring
I’m spinning as fast as I can,
But look at the distance I travel.
Yet when I speed up for a short time span
At the pleading of ignorant man,
All of humankind starts to unravel,
And lays blame, complete with the gavel!
Disrespect comes in so many forms,
And towards me, thousands by the hour.
Still, you’ll soon get your spring after the storms
On this great orb that outshines the norm.
Coz, unlike planets that are more dour,
Only earth can deliver you flowers.
I give you spring, once more, as advertised;
Not early, not late, nor as a surprise.
