I, An Icon Reflected
I, not an icon in myself
But an icon, reflected
In the image of God.
For I am a human being
Who was created by God
Made to be a little like Him.
Mystery of mysteries
Formed out of the dust
Awakened by His breath.
Before the Great Fall
In perfect Communion
Man and Woman with God.
Broken by rebellion
Every one turned away
To make themselves icons.
But God made a perfect way
His Son to pay the price
To break our bondage to sin.
I, an icon reflected
Made to be a little like God
Breaking all my idols for Him.
