Hope

A blanket of white layers the sky, Surrounded by concrete towers so high. Straining to hear the wind, the birds, My only comfort, the hope of your words. I know there's a reason for the pain, I know there's a reason I'm going insane. Why we moved so far away, I ask myself every single day. I don't understand why we had to leave, That we'll go home I have to believe. I need to believe I'll see you again, That one day you'll take away all my pain.

This was a great piece. But, I'm curious, does love & the heart need to be so dependent? Could it not be "my other half" but, rather, "my other whole" for hope to have a greater meaning? Anyway, sorry for the rambles. I blame your writing for this. :)
