Holiday- a Children's Poem

We are on holiday And it's been a great day So much fun and games The park with the swings And in the arcade finding pennies Swimming and splashing Eyeing prizes in the arcade And imagining winning And then happily eating It's been a great morning Out for a drink And maybe air hockey Getting dressed but can't wait to go out and run around So your finally ready for a great night out With family, friends and dancing Games and maybe a little prize at the end Finally tired It's been a great night But now it's time to go home so when you get in bed Rest your little heads Close your tired eyes And dream a dream of laughter and joy Dreaming of the next day And thinking 'I can't wait
