Clever Limerick and perfect syllable count , Francine . I think , I may be the "Wordsworth" daff person ? . It was one of my first contributions here ( 2007), so was not a recent posting . Well done with your writing and keep well . Sean ..

Francine, I had a boss like this once, but not in a store. He'd just delegate duties and check out for the day. Enjoyed your poem! Congratulations on your win. Check the blog I just posted on the home page and you'll find that a dozen people helped decide the rankings for this contest. Love,

what a good name for him, Francine. Yeah, I did not read all Carolyn's rules before writing MY liimericks and then I came here and saw I would have to choose just ONE of my four. I too chose a boss from long ago. Too chancy to write about the one screwing me over these days!!! Luv, Andrea

ahahahahah this situation comes alive so well in your poem. Brief though it was, we can see the vivid imagery of what it like to have a terrible boss at that store!
