Halloween Poem # 8...The Black Cat..(For Paula's Challenge)
I'll have you know my consort is a witch
About this time of year I get an itch
To cross your path and give you such bad luck
Till all your sense and reason runs amuck
I eagerly await a taste of brew
The old hag has stirred up a pot for you
I used to be in human form you know
She cast her witchy spell and made me so
A cat of darkness and a wily one
She and I have lots of evil fun
Close companions,we will prowl the night
Causing children and their parents fright
Come Halloween you best look out for me
Don't bother trying to chase me up a tree
For she will cast a spell on you like that
Maybe turn you into a black cat!
