Green Eyes
Green eyes
Crying tears of pain
Not those physical
But those of lost love
Deep inside
Love continues to beat
For a hopeless soul
Who has gone
And left
Leaving one disenchanted
Disillusioned
And desperate for
The lost love
Loving the illusion
Of a person
That would return
The love back
But now is no longer
Participating in the exchange
Of each other’s love
It’s one sided now
And painful
Heartache rules one’s life
And nothing will separate
One’s love
For the other
