Great and Wondrous, Gracious Thanksgiving

I am thankful... 1. For the USA, and our freedom to praise God, Salvation and rebirth 2. For My Husband Wayne, Son Caleb, our dog Ashley, Cats Prissy and Smut and even those messy lovebirds, Laverne and Shirley 3. That I am able to think, feel, hear, see, taste, touch and love 4. That God is good all the time and all the time God is good 5. For Mom and Dad, and all the other family I have that still claims me. 6. That my husband has a job and we are able to live in our house. 7. For the seasons, the flowers and all beauty 8. For curbside Garbage service and my dishwasher 9. For advancement in medical sciences 10. For clean water, modern appliances, and a comfortable bed (not necessarily in that order)

Doris, I know I commented on this poem before but I had to come back and read it today for its realities ... sharing our experiences is fun... glad u are enjoying my poems today... please share them at Sunday school.. I taught years ago when my boys were small to get and keep them going to Chruch... it has paid off.. sharing is how we touch others lives... glad I did for u today... Linda-Marie the "sweetheart" of P.S. according to HG

A very good list. I haven't made a list for I don't know if I could reduce it down to a few items but maybe I'll try. Keep writing. Mom

Hi Doris, It is nice that you shared your thankfulness list with us. God is good. And it is wonderful to appreciate His blessings. Thank you also for contributing to the poem "Our Many Blessings." We will post it as planned, on (maybe before) November 20th. Take care, girlfriend. Lovingly, Dane Ann

Indeed, you have much for which to give thanks, Doris. Number 3 stands out; often we forget how fortunate we are. And I do wish there was a dishwasher in my new home, but the kitchen's too small. Still, I am giving thanks for friends, family and love on a daily basis. Really enjoyed reading this -- gives insight into the poet's life and character. Well done! Love, Carolyn
