From Day To Night, a Broken Rhyme Poem
Waiting for a hint of sunlight
While gazing at the rising sun
For it will bring the morning light.
Knowing it will soon be daytime
I’m grateful for another day
As it comes in its own time.
Hot summer days are ‘oft windblown
As fields of wheat wave in the wind
And puffy clouds are quickly blown.
Then with the coming of the nightfall
Come out the creatures of the night
And soon the dew begins to fall.
The air’s aglow with the moonbeams
As I rest beneath the moon
And watch fireflies in the beams.
