Forgotten Words
Heartbreaking, the empty library,
dust and cobwebs cover books,
I turn the page of a book of age,
the frayed chairs in cozy little nooks.
Heartbreaking, all the forgotten works,
old amber lamps light the way,
of a book of age, I turn the page,
maintained with love, once upon a day.
Heartbreaking, are all the books I pass,
words of forgotten writers,
I turn the page of a book of age,
like falling into deep, cool water.
