His Senior Prom - June 1956
Our Wedding Day, June 1958
First Date - Poet's Dozen
In high school, we met
hand in hand we walked the halls
he carried my books
We went out to dinner on our first date.
We talked, later kissed...each found our soul-mate.
He was a senior, and I was a junior;
it was on our first date when true love set in.
He joined the Marines post graduation in June.
Consumed by love, our hearts broke to part
but still held together by cupid's harpoon.
We met neath our moon, though miles apart.
Two years later, we married...our new life to start.
