One of two poems Eranthis-Free Verse and Eranthis-Etheree written at the same time about the same subject but in different form.

Oh little Buttercup glistening in the cool morning sun. So delicate and small, how soft and fragile you are. Tenderly pushing through the soil, so eagerly you greet the new spring breaking free from your wintery prison. Your brilliant yellow cheeks always smiling. Dancing among the dry fallen leaves, peeking thru the fading shadows, your flamboyant show belies your quiet, cool nature. Oft feeling tread on, you firm your will sometimes life seems so... hard. 07/26/15

you know, the way you describe her, it sounds a little like my personality as well!! I like to be flamboyant but I am reserved and cool! I think this little buttercup sounds marvelous!! You did a great double etheree. Have you got many others? I once made a chapbook out of all etheree poems. I love the form that much!

I love buttercups, and I love this poem. An excellent Etheree, James. An easy seven.

Thank you, I love flowers, all kinds. Ask my wife, an orchid on every valentines day (I think she is sick of them).
