Enlightenment---The Story Teller
a book about war
lays ignored upon the desk...
at the door, a guest
with far-away eyes,
an old man has cleared his throat...
anticipation
the soft, but wise voice
fills the huge room with black words...
dust motes glitter bright
afternoon shadows
emphasize a wrinkled brow...
sun silvers his hair
the word "halocaust"
fills dark corners of the room...
tears shine in young eyes
a story unfolds
and hours turn into years---
new enlightenment
