Empty Sorrow, Dreary Tomorrow

Filled with empty sorrow He dreads what’s to come tomorrow. A smile on his face You may think he’s happy but that’s not the case He’s trapped in a room with no color He doesn’t see why he should bother. His family tries to intervene But it’s not as easy as it seems. A needle in hand he strikes another vein It erases all of his unresolved pain. His little brother and sister sit here and wonder What’d it be like to have a clean brother

Thank you. I've learned to escape the pain and worrying by writing poems.
