Drown
A charred and silent shadow,
far from wandering eyes,
I watch, among the jaded,
tired of all the lies.
I close my eyes and wonder,
if I could ever be,
the one who which your dreams
are made,
your artificial fantasy...
for just tonight,
the veil is lifted,
I watch a little more,
sickened by the truth,
of that which you adore.
I wipe the heartache off my
hands,
and reach out for your touch,
a shadow of the darkness,
deserves none of such.
The night grows colder,
my patience older,
you didn't care,
beauty is the eye of its
beholder.
You wrap so much time,
in winning others love,
you never notice the one,
who your love, is void of.
I sink back to my corner,
disappearing amidst the dark,
dreaming, maybe someday,
I can win your heart,
be the object of your desire.
And hoping you catch me
before I fall,
into my tears,
and drown the fire.
