Dismantling Dysphoria -New Blood Synthesis

Dismantling Dysphoria -New blood synthesis All colours evaporated, vitality ceased Deep agony! Topsy-turvy my life turned An inferno of grief engulfed my heart Surged to the top, pain of bereavement No panacea, no potions to douse... Alone she left me n' set sail to heavenly abode. My life, my wife, my love, my beloved! In peace, closed her eyes, myriad stories untold Last embrace, promise from me she took in deathbed, No sob, no dull face while I die, she said ......I agreed just to please her soul that moment! For, unbridled tears trickled down wetting the whole ground... What a phenomenal lady she was! A brave-heart! An ideal wife of my dreams, companion so great! More of a friend, cared like mother, so guileless... Ebbs or tides, held that lasting smile she dauntless.. An angel of seamless affection and kindness! With her loss, our castle of love lay shattered! Left me...... dejected, dysphoric, aimless! Her death, as I contemplate... I blame her malignant ailment that befriended the nefarious death to hatch a plot so wicked to snatch my spouse away from me.... I curse their victory of Shadenfreude! At home, those memories of togetherness prick Making me feel her loss even more...In every brick, the curtains, the bed, the coffee mug, I see Her charming face come n' fade.....vacant air I feel sans her aroma, the jingle of her bangles, anklets, her mellifluous voice, Sinks the feel of gentle sweep of her netted blue saree on my face... I miss those fabulous nights, those pillow talks, those gestures, Her warmth, her hugs, her kisses, her whispers, her wet hair... Lost is that taste due to her magic in every dish she cooked! Six years have elapsed, shock of her loss has slowly subsided Life went too tough but the tough didn't keep going ,for came guiding, an ethereal light that showed me a way n' I decided Our home now, an asylum to those who suffer my wife's ailment!! Hints of fresh euphoria heralded, waving goodbye to lament I had found a purpose n' up above, I feel her smiling at me contented!

wiow, the way you took her death and gave it meaning by establishing your house as a place to help those afflicted by the same disease as your wife was. that is outstanding. I really enjoyed this one . Congrats on your win.

What a fantastic poem! A definite seven! It is just typical of this site that your great poem gets overlooked in favour of so much talentless dross. Very well done - keep on writing. My very best. :-) john
