Dark Angel

Some have called me dark and gothic.
Some have called me an angel.
Confusing me to no end.
Maybe I was born with twin souls.
Two faces, two personalities.
So different from each other, yet one in the same.
Like Jekyll & Hyde.
One cannot live without the other, nor can I escape it.
I guess I was born and doomed on the same day.
To be me, this dark angel.
Combined opposites, intertwining into one single identity.
I am not evil and I am not good.
I am far away from heaven, yet just as far away from hell.
I am in-between the two.
And I don't know which way to go.
Won't someone help me?

Hi Kelly! It's better to be in the middle than to go to a disastrous extreme. [It does not mean that you sit on the fence....that would be cheating:) ] much enjoyed this write:) // paul

Hi Paul. I agree with you, it is better to have a little of both, rather than too much of one side....Thank you very much for stopping by. I do appreciate it! :)

Kelly What an intense, deep and emotional write. I think everyone is conflicted sometimes on who they are and meant to be. Nice job my friend Thanks for the awesome comment on my Christmas Tale poem. Hugs

A piece that will leave many of us questioning our own plights for how many of us are indeed perfect - none I'd guess... We need open our hearts and minds and be accepting to work on putting things right... we will still make mistakes but does that make us evil? I don't think so I think it just makes us human and we can only continue in trying to be the best we possibly can and put right our wrongs where we see them... The two main things to look to in my humble opinion are love and forgiveness.

Kelly, wow~ wow~ I love how you took the image of you, as twisted and sweet. I think you and I are alike.. I have a twin soul, one evil one sweet...but the light always wins.. hehehehe.. Like you i'm in between both.. every morning I wake up smiling, knowing I'm not evil enough.. I think my number is 444 <--- haha enjoyed this ..xox~ Linda
