Dancing Shadows

Ghostly images dance through the night, Praying on the innocent, the weak, and those afraid of the light. Dragging them farther and farther into the dark, Slowly consuming every last beating heart. Silencing every attempt at a scream, They hope and they pray that it's all just a dream. Any minute they hope to wake from their slumber, Escape this tortuous dream, emerge from down under. But deep down they all know their souls are now doomed, Stuck forever in limbo destined to be consumed. The dark shadows offer no comfort or hope, The minute you enter them, life becomes a slippery slope. Escaping is almost near impossible as they found out the hard way, Now they are forever stuck here, no point counting the days..
