Curly Part Ii

Curly ( Part II ) Mary was so proud of her new friend. Now it was time to feed Curly. Mary did just that. Everyone fell in love with Curly right away. It was a happy day for everyone. From that day on, Mary and Curly did not seperate, only when she went to school. She would bathe him, feed him and play with him. Mary would always feed him, before going to school and when she came home, he would go and greet her. Curly was very playful and everyday he got cutter. everybody loved him. Mary could not have been happier. They were very happy together. Curly did not grow too much. Three Summers went by. The two of them had a lot of fun. We all know that nothing lasts forever and everything comes to an end. It was a hot Summer day and Mary was outside watering the Lawn. she had not seen Curly in a while and wondered where he could be. All of a sudden she saw him coming down the street on the opposite side. That made her happy. As she kepted looking at him - she knew that something was wrong. He didn't look right. Curly crossed the street and came to her. There he laid down by her feet. She bend down to touch him and he just looked at her. He looked weak. She went inside and told her parents. Her father came out to check on him. Then very sad - he told Mary that Curly was dead. Mary could not believe it and she started to cry. she could not stop crying. Her father told her - Curly knew that you loved him and he loved you too. He had enough stength to come and say good bye. He is now in dog Heaven where good little dogs go. He will be happy with the Lord. Mary looked up to Heaven and smiled. She knew her father was right. God was his owner now. the End....

What killed Curly? It sounds like heartworm infestation. That's why I won't have a pet. None of them live very long. Sad but good write.

What a touching story! I had to put my first dog down... he was eight years old, and we had him for eight months. His constant seizures were too much for him though... we had to put him down and even though he was just an animal... it was one of the saddest days ever for me.

Oh my this is heartbreaking, i know have walked that path a few times. My last boy died of the dreaded C aged 6, Boxers are prone to it. Have rescued an old lady Boxer, have had her for a year so far, not sure how any more, she is past her sell by date. she is grey of muzzle and overweight, unable to walk her at the moment, but soon that will all change, fingers crossed. .....Seren

It's unfortunate that our pets have to die like that, we wish they would stay together with us for as long as we are alive! This was a heartfelt and loving write about the love between a child and her dog, and made even more sentimental by you saying it happened to you! I've gone through many dogs during my life, but now we have a cute little Yorkie, and I hope we have him for a while! This is a spectacular poem my friend! I really enjoyed reading this awesome piece this evening! Great Work!!
