Crimson Stain—glorious Stand

With crimson stain on her hands Kneeling was her glorious stand Holy Mother cried for her son Wondering what they had done Bellowing clouds changing color Approaching the appointed hour What stone could seal our faith? His powers unlocked the gate Glorious ascension and praise His forgiveness shines with rays With crimson stain on her hands Kneeling was her glorious stand © Joseph, 5/16/08 © All Rights Reserved ~~~~~~~ Third Place Winner Poieta Couplet Poetry Contest Sponsored by: Brian Strand June 6, 2008 ~~~~~~~

Beautiful Joseph. The strength we mothers should look to. I often look upon her statue and ask how she was able to handle this pain. I often wish I could be as strong as she was when I feel I have been stretched to the limit. God Bless, Cile

Joseph, this is an absolutely awesome write as you tell the story of Mother Mary and the pain she endured of the passing of Our Lord Saviour at that most precious and appointed hour... If not for His ascension and those wondrous rays of forgiveness, I shudder to think where we would be now. Thank you for sharing such a marvelous read with us all God’s Love and Many Blessings, Always, Adell
