collateral damage
creature
of the moment—peace
kneeling
in a dried blood
riverbed
creature
of the moment—love
nauseated
by hate’s
nauseous breath
creature
of the moment—hope
ripening
in redemptive fields
of resurrection
creature
of the moment—faith
arching
perpetually bending
towards justice
