Retracing our footsteps smiling with the beating of our hearts the journey has gone full circle the grey streaks of your hair more visible now the laugh wrinkles on my face a witness to laughter shared. We still share the laughter you still hold my hand When we take our little walks before sunset I still feel safe in your embrace… By Wilma Neels 5th place YOUR FREE VERSE PRECEPT CONTEST Sponsored by: JOHN FREEMAN

Your poetry is always so uplifting, dear friend. It is comforting to know that relationships like the one you describe do exist. If we haven't found one yet, we have to keep looking until the day we walk off into the sunset. Wonderful poem, Wilma! Love, Carolyn
