Confused, a Mystery It Remains
Confused, a mystery it remains
Stunned by a dream
Invoking images in his mind of the night before
As he lay in his bed pondering the day
Suddenly asleep he cannot weep
For the morning is here
And he thinks to himself what did it mean
Vivid in detail he recalls it over coffee
Later in the day to a friend
Interested and curious he continues to explain
No understanding, confusion sets in
Trying to make sense of it, he seems dim
A mystery it remains
For the current day has passed
And night is near mid
Not tired but restless
He sees it as a sign
That lust, sex and love are on their way
The dream tells many stories
Through the dreamer’s eye
