Close Friends From Afar - Co-Write With Jack Horne
From across the sea, good wishes I receive:
Cards, greetings, special gifts from a kind man I've never met.
But it's the warmth he offers that makes a difference in my life.
How blessed I am to have such a compassionate friend;
The Soup not only unites nations, but creates welcome friendships.
It's been six months, but it seems like a lifetime,
The bond of friendship so strong,
Cemented by shared interests and laughter,
Brought together by passion for poetry;
My life wouldn't be the same without her.
