Clio, Muse of History

Oh Clio, muse of history… As I look back, please help me, please Sometimes it’s seen not so clearly At seventy-two, a lot one sees. Classic history’s read from a book But your very own is far too close And no matter how hard you will look Some events should not be disclosed. What history do you remember, Whenever you look at your own past? Will it be of bad things that were, Or the happy times that will last? We all have a personal history Some will be clear, some mystery.
