Catch of the Day...
Stealthy dip into the green
the pool limp liquid to be seen
straight down view from dappled shade
the catfish lazy, bubble breath laid
The jungle thick with consequence
mud sunk prints as evidence
Jaguar spots slip through the trees
whiskers twitching in the breeze
Quiet creeping toward the pool
belly grumble, will for food
Bubble from the breath below
and suddenly it's: go, go, go!
The pounce begins,
the mud comes clean
off paws too cute
to be called mean
Water splashed into the air
glass exploding, moment bare
The jaguar neither stops nor lingers
He's off to enjoy a fresh fish dinner...
