Cast-Offs

The old TV’s, with bulging backs, Sit huddled with the trash; Their value, precious once, Has somehow vanished in a flash. Discarded flat-screen boxes Languish near what they’ve replaced, A testament to modern times, When cast-offs go to waste. A jumbo flat-screen, I’ve been told, Is one of life’s true perks. For now, I’ll stick with what I have – My old TV still works!

AMEN! Excellent...and deep! My old TV is sitting here in my bedroom and is being used as a table for my school books! ;) But if we can get it to work...we are keeping it. We do have a flat screen, but if it ain't broke...why replace it! ;) Loved this poem, my dear!

LOL, I think it truly amazing that you were able to construct a poem from the idea of the old and new TV's. And an amazing poem at that. The endings to your poems are awesome.
