Blow Out the Candles!

Today is your Birthday mom You just turned fifty-five Yet you don’t look a day over forty Still so beautifully vibrant and alive Preparations we’re all making For the woman who gave us life To help celebrate her special day Our mom, grandmother and wife What do you buy for someone? Who already owns what they wish A families love, health and closeness Instead of jewelry, roses or even exotic fish So close your eyes and make a new wish mom Blow out those fifty-five candles now Make a wish entirely for you For selfishness today is undeniably allowed © Stacy Lynn Stiles
