Blame Reversal

saunter through the rain hoping no one sees you’ve cried or spots your black eye shift the blame from him to you his torment you don’t deserve each time he hit you he told you it was your fault ego deflated you believed the lies he told as he hid behind his mask his anger issues had never been caused by you some are abusers and when the blame turns to him you’ll shed the weight you’ve carried

I imagine they try to hold the power over you and blame it on you but don't let this ever, ever happen to you. No one should ever hit another person. I just cannot imagine anyone like this but sad to say there are. Fantastic poem on this issue. love phyl

Yes! Blame that prick who's been hurting you! They do try to shift the blame to the other so they can get off free and make you feel like dirt and worthless! That way they have the power over you and feel like they are in control of the situation when in fact if you go about it correctly you can cast the blame on them by making them victims of the police department! That's where they truly belong. Nobody should hit another person, that's so very wrong, I know I've been a victim! Well, Great Work

oops I don't see the Mail Spot..... You hurt me baby I flinch so when you do Your kisses scourge me Hyssop in your perfume Oh, I do not fear you And slave I only use As a word to describe the special way I feel for you You look like me And I look like no one else We need no other As long as we have ourselves But I won't cry about it Every time you get obsessed Every time I came undressed All ugly thoughts are gone I'm sure we'll all be friends I'll try to break your back You'll try to make amends Curse softly to me baby And smother me in your love Temptation comes not from hell but from above And there's blood on my teeth When I bite my tongue to speak Zip me down, kiss me there I can smile now You won't find out ever

Xcellent. I wish so this kind of stuff did not happen. You tell it well. Reminds me of one of my favorite songs by Afghan Whigs, called MY CURSE. An excellent song/ poem about a girlfriend who takes and hides the abuse from her drunk man. ---I will send you part of the lyrics as I think you would like.
