Sol's reborn of virgin flame
that's unbelievably bright.
And pierces sleepy eyelids
as kaleidoscopes of light.
Somewhere twixt dream and awake
reality jumps off track.
And there, Sol paints an abstract
on a field of darkest black.
Sleep slips into fantasy
on witnessing Sol's rebirth.
And as time's held motionless,
He gilds the rim of the Earth.
As night retreats, Sol rises,
and the day starts to unwind.
But I'm forced to look away;
or His light may strike me blind.
