Betrayed By Her Heart

The words on her lips dried up as soon as he entered the room her facial expression said it all she never expected to see him again never expected her heart to still miss a beat all eyes focused on her as he makes his way across the room she takes the glass away from her lips without taking a sip time stood still when he smiled at her all she could do was smile back, nervously pretend that the music didn’t just stop playing pretend that her heart was not providing music of its own…

This kind of reminds me of the one scene in West Side Story, where everyone else fades away, except Tony and Maria...just that moment between them. Wonderful, emotions in this poem, Wilma!
