Behind the Scenes

Some things are never as they seem Perfection has imperfect schemes We often think the things we see Are really what they look to be Perhaps it's an elusive dream Some things are never as they seem The things you never thought were true Will shock you when revealed to you A con man, with bible in hand May be the preacher on the stand Some things are never as they seem Quiet storms may have deadly themes A pretty smile will hide the tears Of abuse, suffered through the years A nightmare that becomes a dream Some things are never as they seem ~~~ 1/26/16

so true, so true. Just the other day saw a show about a preacher who ended up being a child's murderer. Great repeating line.

Well written and thoughtful poem with rhymes that fit in place naturally, Joseph.
