Become the Child He Was...

This coming Christmas put away prejudice and pride and become the child He was...coming to earth and die: the Messenger of God to touch the humblest hearts when joy didn't exist and love couldn't be found in anyone; look up to the coldest and starriest sky... thousands of angels in their glory shine! Look deep inside and put kindness first and realize: that this is a season to give without measure, just smile! Child, heavenly Child, open those kind arms and welcome everyone who gladly comes to worship you with that very special gift; Child, heavenly Child, how can we be changed in heart, and suddenly become like you are: being that closest friend, not an uncaring stranger! Kings and Presidents will bow down like us, and glorify you for coming down in the form of man... to forgive and understand us, to teach us love and elate us; long ago hope was lost, and that long-awaited Redeemer never came...now, you have come to bring your peace and salvation, and the Christmas' star has set on the world in wonder! Let's stare at it with gladness...to find the purpose in your birth, and spread the joyful tidings to those without worth! Child, heavenly Child, call all to your manger and stand side by side by the singing angels and let them see that we can become the child you are, without a crown, riches, vanity and privileges! Child, heavenly Child, you only ask us to say the kindest word: to forgive and be forgiven and to love and be loved in return! Copyright 2008 by Andrew Crisci
