Baby's Heartbreak.
babys heartbreak,
it isn't fleeting.
you can tell she's holding back.
more than words,
more than tears.
emotions, darling, they're harder to share.
in her pillow, she may cry,
in her notebook, she may write,
but whats left empty is your mind.
so shut your mouth,
pretend you don't mind,
and open your eyes,
as wide as you can,
to see the battleground,
the wounds,
the scars,
the few victories,
and the many losses.
because if you don't,
if you turn your back,
jam fingers in your ears,
singing the tune you've been singing for too long,
its her that you'll lose.
