Arise, Christians

monorhyme Evil thinking turns day to night. Satan makes what is dark seem bright; wrong appears right and black looks white. Arise, dear Christians, shine your light. Take neighbors food when cash is tight. Comfort a teen who has stage fright; forgive when you encounter spite. Arise, dear Christians, shine your light. Being truthful will win the fight; Within you, Christ enables sight. refining flames you must ignite. Arise, dear Christians, shine your light.

Congratulations, Reason, on your Honorable Mention in my contest. I always judge them blind, without knowing who the authors are. So, when I come here to see who won, I get a wonderful surprise. It is so nice to see you here among the winners. Thank you for supporting my contest...and for your patience in waiting for the results. Lovingly, Dane Ann

I 'm sorry if it hurts, but somebody have to let the world know the kind of life the aged are subject to by the authority in this part of the world where there is no provision for the old. The offspring too are careless and they never have it in mind that they too will someday be useless. I like your piece, it reminds me of John Donne, keep shinning the light into the dark place
