Anger - An Epiphany
Time slows next to stopping
A small glimpse, of what death might feel like
Everything, I've heard about this moment is true..
Crunching gravel scraping my back, fuels my rage
Then a lifetime of memories return of you
While God forgivingly, holds us in the palm of His hand
Screeching metal drowns out the anger in my head
Breaking glass flying - I know we're in danger
I cry out your name, we're now totally in His care
Upside down - rolling towards death's door
I realize the fault was mine
Too fast - too determined
And at what cost
Now convinced, both our lives are lost
When we walked away, a miracle that day
Not even one scratch anywhere
The rage was gone forever
And I'll never again drive that way!
Being angry......
Affects everything.......
