Angels Genuinely Care
I hear whispers in the dark
softly speaking in my ear.
And yet, I will not listen
for my heart is filled with fear.
I glimpse a halo of light
that suddenly disappears.
And all that's left is darkness
surrounding a veil of tears.
Someone touches my soul,
and I recoil in surprise.
A thought calms my beating heart,
drying the tears in my eyes.
An angel's comforting me
in this hour of my despair.
And I can't help but believe,
angels genuinely care.
