And We Fell In Love
Remember way back then when we first met
we used to listen to, both night and day,
those love songs then that we would not forget
like, "when I fall in love" by Doris Day.
So young we were, that word 'forever' seemed
so far away, for at the moment we
could only see today and never dreamed
forever was exactly how we'd be.
So many years went by, and here we are
as we remember words of that old song;
and when we fell in love we found our star
that still burns bright, forever fixed and strong.
Love did not end before it was begun,
but warmer grew beneath our years of sun.
