And the Band Played On....Part Ii

As the perpetrator carries on; spurnfully, within its twisted jealousies and hates Perversions poured, upon the gentle and the meeks, once, purified dreams.... Welcome to the reality, of the blind, and self deceived!? Waiting for their own turns, perhaps, to be left alone, someday themselves Upon that blood drenched, and empty street Crying for help; while subjugated, amid their own unheard or answered pleas As eternity seeps from their veins, the now, you shall reap what you sowed.... No heroes or hearts of true love; willing to fight, and lay down their own lives, for anothers, lost? Instead, they cowered and hid, and indirectly, shamelessly condoned! With blue blank eyes, watching, the tearing apart, of their own Karma~waiting in the wings, of the hollowed corners, which they themselves, chose? The irony of there pathetic excuses; upon which, they may someday choke.... Closing the glass perhaps; these enigmas; before the winter, of their forever cold? Disgraceful and mortified dens, aloft: wherein they now wait For the arrival of the wolves in sheeps clothing, whom led them there As they crumbled and fell; succumbing, to these poisoned purpled fangs Of this lion within their mist; the ruler; which devoured their precious souls?! ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ As, the band played on....

Of course I had to read part 2, which did not disappoint me at all. Very chilling, brutal reality of monsters who prey on the innocent and then get destroyed by their own demise and end up chained to the devil himself. Again thank you for sharing a great piece of writing. Caroline.

Great part 2 too! Echoing the voice I left on Part 1, no person deserves to be treated in this way. To stay in hope that things will change, might be too late for one in such position. My advice would be to get out quick, before things get even worse. Love and trust is so much more than this, you need not be alone, and life can be so much more, beyond the pain of separation. Everyone is worthy, of so much more in life, happiness need not be merely a put on vision, but can be a reality...

They've said it before me...but wow, John, this was another powerful, thought provoking, and intensely sobering write....so much truth, unfortunately...both parts are another emotional, amazing piece that you have crafted. You do shake us up with your writings...!! Great job. ....Your comment on my "autumn" poem, makes me want you to know all your comments are welcome, you are most kind in reading my poetry, and sending me encouragement. Thank you always for that! Love, Carrie

Oh well...this is a sobering piece, John. Intensely dark and disturbing imagery. "Jealousies and hates", can make one lose their sense and reasoning. We see it every day on the News, but you seem to bring it into closer proximity. Best wishes to you! God bless you and yours...love to you, Mikki
