An Addicts Final Plight
This world has become so heartless and sightless
You turn from us who desperately need support
No one sees those who have been abused,
Those who have turned into what they most hate.
We have turned to drugs, sex, and alcohol.
Ones who feel worthless and so very useless
Because of abuse done by the hands of others.
Our addiction consumes us for we feel no hope.
The drug numbs our pain and eases the nightmares.
We reach out for your help as you pass us on the street,
But still you pass us and will not meet our eyes.
You pretend you don’t see us and our hope vanishes.
Time has ran out so we reach for one more high.
Now we drift away with the rush through our veins.
Broken and tormented by our past so a addict we became.
This addict we became caused by monsters in our past.
Now our beast inside must be sated at last.
We reached out for help but where denied.
So what became of this addicts final plight!!!!
