Alone In the City-Constanza
Down the dark alley the winds mutter
Tossing the leavings of another day
The skies of winter pose as sullen gray
No-one hears the words we utter
The tired language of our defeats
Hope tumbling down the empty streets
Atop the hallowed halls banners flutter
Announcing the freedom of a slow death
The cold smoke from another breath
Youthful dreams drift in the city gutter
Along with the sparks of human need
On rose memories, bitter tears bleed
Down the alley the winds mutter
No-one hears the words we utter
Atop the hallowed hall banners flutter
Youthful dreams drift in the city gutter
