Ageing Is An Enigma

Ageing, is an enigma! For instance, youngsters, can't hardly wait! They wish the years, to quickly pass! So, they can drive a car, and date! The middle-age years, are most active, by far! With career, marriage, and such! We lay, the groundwork, for our retirement. So, when it comes, we won't worry, too much! During latter years, our vision is poor. We have trouble, trying to hear! Our discussions with friends, are quite different, while conversing, over a beer! It's "what's the results of your MRI?" "How was your CAT SCAN, today?" "What medications are you taking, my friend?" "Are you sure your insurance, will pay?" Yes, the process of ageing is varied. You do the best, you can do! Things constantly change, as time goes on, how you handle them's, up to you!

Your last line says it all. It is how we handle becoming older........are we willing to handle it with grace or complaint? Nicely said, Ralph !!

what's even sadder is when middle years did not garner the necessity for retirement years. I kind of am living in fear of my old years for that reason!! Great poem on this topic, Ralph.
