Adapting, For Adult Contest

Growing up is not at all what it seems. You have to be at work early and keep a strict routine. No summer break, running through the sprinklers or first kisses at the lake. Everything is now either a make or a break. You now have a job, a spouse and dinner to make, kids to bath and meetings to partake. With dinner burning in the oven, I reminisce of what used to be, a completely different version...a younger, more carefree me. Sneaking out of the house, smoking weed headed to parties on the beach. Always laying around contemplating "what life will bring" Now it's dinner time, and I think of how life has completely changed once I was given an engagement ring.
