A Prince Tale

I once was a prince, Born To a Queen. I Once had a Future, bright as the morning Sun. Until the day I went riding Outside my kingdom walls. Curiosity always seemed to call. I had read tales where princes Saved victimized women from Becoming an evil entities slave. I had dreamt about What they would write about me I wanted to leave a renowned legacy. My chance came as I approached an abandoned tower. At last, I thought, a damsel in distress She gazed out a window… twenty feet high Her whimpers echoed through The air like infinite baby cries. I yelled, “My love, Your Prince will be right there.” I grabbed my sword and treaded forward into a snare. The tower was covered in thick Coiled vines. I sliced through each Piece that tried to stop me. As I got Closer I could see her golden mane Swaying in the wind. Is she my Rapunzel? I contemplated with a grin. When I finally reached the window I quickly jumped in. My darling had run into The corner of her cell. “I’m here sweet Angel, please don’t be scared.” But she Said nothing. I began to walk towards her Gently of course But I was greeted with an alarming force. A loud bang squealed sealing the Window shut. The room grew cold And a gust of Air whirled through the open space. Now in pure darkness Laughter could be heard. “What is going on?” I bellowed out in fear. A candle appeared on a table In the Center of the room. The Girl finally turned around. Her golden locks Began to disintegrate into ashes Piled on the cement floor She continued to snicker as my mouth Sunk to the ground. “Thank you my prince, I am finally free It only took a century for someone to Come and rescue me.” My hands started To shake as she walked over my way. “It was your grandfather who captured me and Locked me inside here that dreadful day” I managed to mutter words of remorse “I am sorry he did that To you so long ago!” but she did not seem to be Moved as I watched her anger grow. “I suppose the village witch Frighten your dear grandpa.” “I suppose, I suppose.” She continued On. She walked up to my face And grabbed both my cheeks Digging her nails deep in to my flesh Until I felt streams of blood drip onto my lips. Her eyes were Colorless, Endless black caves. Her pasty cheeks pressed against mine While she hissed into my ear, “Now it’s your turn to be stuck in this room Until you die here, how’s that For a love story Romeo?” and she disappeared.
