A Mother's Anguish
If I could have seen how dear you would have been.
Then, perhaps I would not have done it.
If I could have known what joy you would bring.
Then, perhaps I would not have done it.
If I had seen you just a little.
Then, perhaps I would not have done it.
Had I felt you moving inside.
Then, perhaps I would not have done it.
If all that happened was made known to me, then perhaps
I would not have done it, for You would be with me.
